History
    The Appalachian Powerlifting is not new to the lifting scene. We formally were a bench press organization called the West Virginia / Virginia Bench. The WVVAB held bench press only competitions in the two Virginia's.  The WVVAB had a short but successful run. Former president of the WVVAB, Donnie Robbins  turned the WVVAB over to Derek Wingo(president) and Zane Perkins (vice president). Both Zane and Derek agreed to rename the organization to Appalachian Powerlifting in hopes of expanding the federation to new territories. The Appalachian Powerlifting will hold full power, push and pull, squat, bench and deadlift only meets.  We will also include raw bench body weight for reps and strict curls. We will keep records for each categories lifted in.
